Just south of the American border, I believe that Mexico is one of the most underrated destinations that I’ve ever been to. I admit, I was ignorant about all the wonder this country holds until a trip to Central Mexico in 2016. It opened my eyes to the culture, food, history and beauty of this massive country. Now, it’s on the top of my list of great long weekend destinations! With so many flights from Chicago to various cities around Mexico, it will be easy to make short trips to Mexico, exploring the country on a piece-meal basis. I can’t wait to add more posts to this list!
