When most people think of Costa Rica, they think of beautiful natural scenery, incredible ecological diversity and Pura Vida culture. Although Costa Rica is one of the most popular destinations in Central America, there is one thing it is not typically known for—the food.
After my experience in Costa Rica however, I actually think this country could be known for its food. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Tico cuisine and I left the country with a happy belly full of comfort food, home-cooked meals and dishes bursting with mild Latin flavors.
