Photo Essay: Stockholm’s Street Life and Architecture

Because I didn’t do all that much research before taking off for Stockholm, I was happily surprised by all the amazing architecture of this waterfront city. I took about a zillion photos of buildings as I walked around, but I’ll spare you precious readers and only show you 10 of them.

Stockholm has all the features I pictured in a Scandinavian city — colorful facades, efficient transportation, royal palaces, Nordic architecture — but what really impressed me about Stockholm was how it happily marries its natural elements with it’s urban elements. A series of islands, you’re never more than a few minutes walk from the waterfront or a park.
