Milwaukee Pedal Tavern

This weekend, my ‘always up to for a party’ family decided to go on a pedal tavern through the Third Ward in Milwaukee. We weren’t celebrating anything and there was no real special occasions, we just wanted to have fun together as a family! Invited by my cousins, it was a super fun day with absolutely perfect weather.

The pedal tavern has seats for 16, so a bunch of my cousins came, my parents, a few of my aunts, and even my grandpa! A sunny cloudless sky and comfortable 60 degree temperature, this afternoon wound up being one of my funnest I’ve had in a while!

We picked up the 14 seater pedal bike at Stenny’s Bar around noon on Saturday. We started our tour at the diviest bar I have every been to, George’s.  The bar owner George met us at the door greeted with popcorn and mardi gras beads, and then you walk into the tiny bar and it smells like this place has been around for 30 years. It’s cluttered with quirky decor, family photos and trinkets from the years. This was such a fun stop

Next up on the docket was The Irish Pub on Water St. They have a big beer garden in the back, which was the perfect spot for us to relax after pedaling our way over! Plus, then we weren’t nearly as obnoxious to our neighbors.  Then we made our way over the Charlies, which also has a lovely little street side patio overlooking Catalano park. Their special was beer in a bag, which naturally we had to order! Our final stop on the tour is the Central Standard Craft Distillery.

For our biking adventure, I wore a thrifted flannel open front cardigan i picked up at Crossroads Trading. It features a tan and black plaid pattern, and feels totally in style for this season with the cut and tassels at the end. It’s like a scarf shirt! Underneath, I’m sporting a simple Vince white t-shrit. I’m also wearing a pair of high waisted Levi jeans pulled up like capris to show off my black Birkenstock sandals. For accessories, I’m carrying my MS by Martine Sitbon black leather purse, wearing some silver metal rings and a chunky black metal necklace I made for Traverse Shop.
